No more 3S-GTE's ... A twenty year run isn't bad though, if you ask me smile.gif Correct me if i'm wrong, but the Caldina GT-Four's 3S-GTE was the 4th, and last, version?

I thought the Japanese version of the Matrix had the 3S-GTE motor in it?

You sure you mean the Matrix? AFAIK, the Matrix was never sold in Japan. The Toyota Voltz (externally a Pontiac Vibe, with much of the interior using Toyota Matrix parts) has 1ZZ or 2ZZ engine options.

My bad, it was the Caldina that I was thinking about. It looks like a longer Matrix. But yeah, that sucks. Of course, what are they're options if they kept it? Put it in the tC? Hell no! The tC isn't worthy. Anyways, bad times.

i thought they went all the way up to st245....but i thought it was just changes in the car, not the actual motor.

so was the 4th gen, st215 to st245? or was it:

4th gen: st215
5th gen: st230
6th gen: st245

?

1st Gen Caldina: st210g
2nd Gen Caldina: st215g, st215w, st216
3rd Gen Caldina: st246

There is a partial list at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_T2xx but there are almost certainly errors and ommisions so feel free to update.
