Ok, so I just bought a Black Reverse Gauge Cluster from PCP (Pro Car Parts) and I really really like the way it looks, but the directions that came with it are a bit confusing. From what I gather I need to just put the new cluster over the old cluster? Because the new bits don't have the little teeth that catch the needles when they go down.

Does anyone have any install pics of their gauge clusters from PCP or how they look now? That might help me in my installation! Thanks all.

the ones I got just lay over the stock gauges.. I had to remove the needles to install them but i realized later that the round part of the needle comes off to help the overlay go over them..

def try not to remove your needles! the round cap yes you can but not the actual needles, you will never be able to put them back in the right spot and your gauges will be off

Then how am I supposed to do it w/o taking the needles off? I bought an extra gauge cluster for like $30 to play around with it and I can't find any other way.

Thanks for all the input!

I was successful in doing so - but it isnt easy and you need to remember where the gauges were. the only real hassle was the speedometer

jaws, did you paint your needles? I like it alot. I have the same overlay but the power inverter died and when i put the new ones in i may copycat your needles.

Malpaso - Slipping them around the needles seems like the good choice. Is it difficult? And I'm assuming they go on over the old gauges (just the mph & rpm?)? And where did you get your gauges? Mine look sorta like those (the new ones from PCP), but yours are hot! Thanks for the info guys.

Not difficult at all and you are right old gauges. Just cover them, that's it... and I got them from e-bay smile.gif

Those don't look like it. The inner ring isn't lit up. If you look at PCP's reverse black glow gauges, they look similar to those; only the lights look different/brighter.
