QUOTE(celiracer @ May 30, 2007 - 11:02 AM) Hmm. thats very unique. But why not a 3s? You know on a side topic, ive been thinking of hunting one of these old celicas down and buying it for a fun car and had this same thought. Would it be possible to put a 3S in the old celicas like that one? and i know anything is possible with money, but would it really be possible without tons of modification? Idk how hard it would be. But it would be sweet to see one with a 3s and RWD. That would be pretty sick. Or AWD.

Theres a guy on classic-celicas who has 3 first gens, 1 with a 3sgte in it, 1 with the S2K motor and another with a 3TGTE in it. I love first gen celicas, sooo many swaps to do, most cars are soo clean, and they r just pure sexyness. |

Im thinking if i get some extra $ coming in and i finish up the bodywork on my 83, swapping in a 2nd gen 3sgte into my 83. Theres a guy on one of my car clubs for my 83 that has a full conversion kit with the 3sgte for $1500. |

i would have stuck with the black top beams. Only thing you would need is a custom drive shaft to match up the 6 speed transmission with the orgianl rear diff. But i'm not sure what the final drive ratio is....
but, wow. what a nice swap. |

Like ive met 2 guys with KP61 Starlets, one guy has a 20V silvertop on ITBS, the other has a 3rd gen 3SGTE. My friend just sold his KP61 with a 13B in it with an AE86 rear end in it. Like if you wanted to, you could swap a 20B into an AE86 pretty easily. Old toyotas are awsome for swapping. |

Go shoot yourself in the face you FnF fanboy... j/k... no really. lol. i'm actually not a big fan of the movies. too ricey for my taste. i dunno why, but to me that drift stang is a work of art. probably one of the reasons being it had no stickers, neon, or ricey spoiler/body kit like the other cars in the movies. just a clean classic car combined with today's technology (much like that 1gc with a s2k engine)... the best of both worlds.
