Type "theft recovery" or "salvage" into ebay or craigslist... a lot of the cars you're looking for should pop up. Hope that helps.

where i am, the newest cars they have in any scrap yards or salvage auctions are like 92 sunbirds. I live in a small city where every one here drives all domestics. Closest bigger city is 2 hours away *london ontario* and thats still a small city. Even back in Toronto, i only know of 2 or 3 scrap yards with cars that you can salvage/rebuild.

i was gonna restore her car but after i did some body work, removing side skirts, and some interior plastics, i relized alot of the body was rotten. The hatch is completely gone, rusted out beyond repair, the rockers are almost completely gone. there are like 4 or 5 three square inch sections of metal that are completely rotten. Alot of the seams on the inside are starting to seperate and rust, the dash board is starting to crack, the trunk floor is almost rusted out. If i had the $, time, space and equipment to fully restore it, i would get on it, buy my fabricaton skills arent the best and i dont have any where to work on it *right now im only parking on the street, in about a week i get an underground parking spot, but the garage is small*. Plus a few guys i know and a few ppl she knows/met through her work want to buy it. So far we have some one whos offering $2500 for it as is right now. Considering we got the car for free, we put maybe $300 into it, and gettin $2200 back would b ok. The only cars i have found that would b decent for cheap ive found so far is an 89 BMW 318I 2door 5spd. It needs some minor motor work, new drivers seat *got a brand new momo single peice sittin in my living room*, the interior needs to be put back together. Its not bad considering the guy wants $1000 for it, but its gonna need a good $600 or more of engine work. Headgaskets gone, needs a new rad, plugs, wires, dizzy cap, rotor, motor mounts, and i think he said rear main seals gone. The gaskets all went because the car has been sitting for 4 years in his garage.
