Does anyone know what is necessary to install racing seats APC into a Celica or corolla? I know I need some custom seat brackets? If your car has aftermarket racing seats and have some knowledge on how to do this install or where to point me for some info it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking about getting some seat brackets from ebay are they any good? quality? fitment?

well my first recommendation would be to ditch the off brand and get something DOT approved. if its not DOT approved its not worth what you're spending for them, and they are a lot less safe than the seats already on your car. the money saved on these seats could be the money used to bury you.

edit: theres a sticky about it

agreed..go with DOT or dont go with race seats at all. My sparcos have a similar bracket setup to the one shown in that picture. but it has alot more then just that assembly to put it on.

thats a pic from my sparco brackets. If i were you, i would suggest spending the $200 or so and buysome sparco brackets. Or if you want to buy a set of DOT seats and brackets, i might b sellin my sparcos within the next month or so.

I had to weld up brackets for my seat...

i used an air chisel and grinder to remove the original brackts off of the original seat.

then i used tube steel to make a frame for them then I bolted the seat to the frame. It took like 6 hours and i'll never do it again

Corbeau makes brackets for the Celica. They are 99 bucks each. Search Corbeau in the FS/WTB forum and you will find that I have posted the part numbers for them there.
