I know some of you are going to say move out but Im holding off another year or two so then I can buy a townhome rather than spending 900 dollars a month on rent to live in the area I do now thats close to work.

Hey Nat, i dont want to rain on your parade or anything, but if you are hoping to save up for a townhome, then i would shoot for cheaper car payment to save money. With mortage+bills+putting some aside for property tax, i spend ~$2000 a month on just house expenses. And that is with the $80,000 downpayment i made on my townhouse. Then factor on top of all of that, eating, gas, etc and the money runs away quickly each month.

My car will stay in the family. Probably start off as my brothers car till the Supra is fixed and then the Celica will become the backup car for the family. I cant sell it or part it - I just dont have the heart to do it.

if i had that much money, i'd buy one.

Supra under 30k - ill pass!

when it comes to getting cars in my family they have to be PERFECT. Took my dad a year to find my celica. If I was to get a supra itd have to be perfect. My dad doesnt mess around when it comes to cars. My bros supra was bought in great condition and now has about 10k in parts and 20k in labor luckily my dad did all the labor so that was good. Now if I could just not be a girl maybe id get a suped up car

the only problem with the G35 is that it is to spendy, otherwise that would be the car she got.

I can't even think about getting rid of my celica. If i were you i'd just take 20k your gonna spend on a new car and put it in the celi. I mean with that money you could have AWD 3s celica. Thats what i would do wink.gif

or maybe w/ that amount of money you could import a real GT-FOUR, and get it legalized.

assuming you're in a state that allows a RHD car

lol the point is to get a new car that i dont have to worry about for a few more years not invest into a 13 year old car. I need something that is me now more so than me 5 years ago.

The car will still be in the family cuz I cant let it go and eventually will get another engine - it just wont be out of my pockets

There is no reason why a used G35 wouldn't be a great, reliable car to have. It's silly to think that because a car is newer, it will last longer than any car older than it.

There is no attitude, I couldn't care less about what somebody across the country wants to drive. I was simply pointing out that you are ruling out many good options, simply because they werent made within the last year. Just out of curiosity, what is it about the 2008 G35, that eliminates any older model as a choice?
