It can work, but you will need a whole lot of money to get it in there. It has never officially been done on a 6th Gen, so you would be all by yourself in pioneering the swap. Better off getting a 3SGTE or doing the V6 swap.

QUOTE(95CelicaST @ Jun 27, 2007 - 9:31 AM) It can work, but you will need a whole lot of money to get it in there. It has never officially been done on a 6th Gen, so you would be all by yourself in pioneering the swap. Better off getting a 3SGTE or doing the V6 swap. now that the 2000 celica gts/matrix are older and cheaper now. Its actually more affordable to do this engine swap then assumed before. If manage to find total celica/matrix you can take the entire engine and brakes from that car and transfer it over. With other swaps, you can not use the brakes and other goodies. Another perk to this swap is, it will legal or easier to get it legal in the usa. It will pass smog with out "using tricks" to get around the system. The con to the swap is you will need to make costum mounts, maybe custom axels, and a more complex wiring. All of this for only for a rated 190 hp. |

It's better to buy T23 celica and if you think that 192 hp are not enough put a compressor and you will have 230 hp!!!! In addition put turbo...

2zz in a 6gc can be done but i personally think it's not worth it for how much you spend just to get the power but if your looking to keep it legit then i guess it's okay....i really just depend on what you want
QUOTE(celica95st @ Jul 5, 2007 - 6:34 PM) i bored my engine to fit the 2000 celica GTS pistons in....cheaper and much better. 12:1 compression and ran 12.6 12.6 at a 1/4 mile is really fast for just high compression motor....but then again idk what else is on the inside... you looking a 250+ hp @ the wheel and a lot of weight reduction to be able to hit 12's(and that's if you can stay on the ground) This post has been edited by kenjamatic: Jul 8, 2007 - 7:05 PM |
