i ordered these from nopi and got them in today, it came with 6 wires so i called them and he said there the right ones, he said they must have included an extra one. also where does the other wire go, not any from the spark plugs but the one that goes to the ignition or whatever? i couldnt find it. thanks.

I actually never worked with the ignition system much on toyotas, or any EFI cars for that matter. But on my 65 Stang, the last wire goes from the top of the Distributor Cap to the ignition coil. At least I think so. Try that.
Only problem is that there's so many different possibilities even with this car. Well 4 that I know of for sure. Distrubutor, External Coil Distrubutorless, External Coil Distributor, Internal Coil Distributorless, Internal Coil Last time I was at work and checked on performance plug wires, it gave me all those options. I don't know how different they all are, but it actually only mattered on the performance wires I was looking into...and not the OEM wires which were the same no matter what. Your guess is good as mine I spose. This post has been edited by snadman: Aug 7, 2003 - 1:04 PM -------------------- 95 Toyota Celica GT

I actually just went out and looked. Ther distrubutor has an extra plug with a wiring harness that goes to the ignition module. I have no clue what the extra wire or two extra are for. Maybe spares in case one is bad?

OK, I checked a box of wires for our cars today. The four with the long boots obviously go from the distrubutor cap to the plugs. Then the extra two, you will find two different cables coming off of your distrubutor cap, replace thoe witht he new ones.
