I am kinda new to this kind of thing so bear with me if I make a mistake in protocol.

I have a '92 Camry that came with a 3vz-fe motor. The car was bought used from a "dealer" with less than 133,000 2 yrs ago. 19.6 miles after leaving the lot the motor blew a rod. This was due to the sludge build-up problem I have read this engine has. Anyway, we have since replaced the engine with a used one from overseas with 44,000 miles on it. Now the problem I am having is that I cannot get the engine to fire!!!!!

I have tried replacing the igniter and coil as well as having an all new distributor, rotor, Plugs, etc. Still the best I can get is only 12v to the plugs.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction of how to proceed with troubleshooting this since I cant even get it to start? I have over $6000.00 USD into this car and would love to drive it more than the 19.6 miles I got off the lot.

Either new post's or PM's to the below e-mail would be greatly appreciated.

you'd be better served my searching for camry related sites, the 3v wasnt standard in the celicas.
i would try toyotanation, and google for other camry specific sites.

I would have went right back to the lot you drove it off of and caused a huge ruckus about a piece of **** they sold me and would have had them fix it for you for free on the spot. If they were to sell you a "used" car it should have gone over a certain inspection before they sell it to you. No car should 19 miles and throw a rod. Like Presure2 said, this site isn't specifically knowledged in ur engine. But good luck with everything and hopefully you get that engine started

Did the main sensor ground get regrounded after the motor swap? If this ground is not grounded, the motor will turn and have power, but won't fire.
