I used to use only premium, but ever since I started tracking my gas milage I swappd to plus, gets the same milage and there is no noticable diff in power.

i was using premium when i first got the car..
then i decided to empty my tank, fill up with regular and reset my ECU and i noticed i was getting more power and mileage with regular gas...

fyi, the celica owners manual recommends using 87 octane...

not like using 91 octane is bad or anything.... but that's what it said in the book.

what is the highest octane you guys can get from the pump? In the uk 'regular' (the lowest available) is 95 and the best is 98 (apparently 99 for some areas). Then again we pay a lot more for our fuel (£1.02 per litre @ my last pit stop for shell vpower)!

There was a limeted run of 102 octane at 5 or 6 BP pumps (It was more of a marketing ploy last year), but it cost something stupid like £2.50 (about $4?) per litre!
