There are a few of us here that are wanting to find wheels that fit precisely. I myself have had a nightmare of a time getting wheels to fit my car without vibration at highway speeds being a problem (its not the balance either...)
I'm wanting to know about other wheels out there that have bolted on with no problems, retaining the smooth ride and proper handling. Please let us know the manufacturer and model wheel, as well as price, size and offset if you know it. Also include any work that had to be done to the wheels, if any, to get them to ride right. Hopefully there are some wheels out there that work fine and don't give our cars any problems. I'm sort of of the mind that there are a number of Celica owners that just suffer through horrible rides so their car can look nice sitting in a parking lot. I've tried two sets of wheels myself in pursuit of that, but I just can't stand the bad ride and have had to go back to factory wheels. Thanks in advance to everyone that helps out. Hi, I have 18's on my Celica and they are perfect..
Went 125mph just the other day and there was absolutely no vibration at all. Even when loading up the trunk with a heavy load the wheels refused to rub the arches. The 6th gen body was designed to handle 18's (WRC) I would recommend them to anyone...(The look pretty well too!) I have a picture of my car with the 18's on my profile if you need to see how they look. Best of luck.. |
