For your (her) headliner, check out www.stockinteriors.com, that's what I'll be using and they look pretty good. Of course, I'm getting a full pre-molded carpet as well as the headliner kit, out with the tan in with the black! Car's looking great by the way!

Ive been on their site b4, im probably gonna be ordering my self a new carpet from them sometime soon. But as for the headliner, theres an automotive upholstery shop maybe 10 min away from my house, and they sell headliner material...its like $15 for the material to make it...its just i dont wanna go out and tear hers out and try and fix it my self right now. But im gonna be doing it sometime in the next few months. This post has been edited by Valo666: Aug 12, 2007 - 10:55 AM |

Nice. You'll probably wind up getting their carpet before me, so let me know how it is. Are you getting the pre-molded stuff (I don't actually know if they sell regular carpet)?

It looks decent but you can tell that it was puttied..i gotta re-do the section and do a bit better paint work...but im gonna be doing that when paint time comes around. Any ways, enjoy..

todays update. I did some little work on the car today/tonight. I decided to change the interior light colour. I did the clock, gauges, and turn signals. Also the original stereo surround was broken in to 2 peices, so we got a new one from a scrap yard and i got around to installing it. We also finaly got our TRD spoiler in the mail...well..kinda..we have 2/3rd of it. We got the 2 sideposts today, but not the center section. I decided to re-paint them cuz they were a bit rough. I also tryed to install the spoiler side posts on the trunk..but theres somethin not right with the spoiler on it right now and the bolts wont come out. But i also noticed that the trunk is starting to rust pretty good. But luckly theres a wrecked convert at this scrap yard about 20 min away and they have a mint trunk for $40 . Any ways, ill let the pics do the talking.
The Family...we painted the 83 flat black and i shaved and filled in all of the little holes from the side moulding. and the TRD spoiler |

todays update. We were suppost to go out to my friends work and get the car aligned but his hoist was being used for undercoating so we couldnt get out there. So we found this out about half way to his work *about a 40 min drive down the highway* so we figured we would make the best of the trip, so we headed over to this scrap yard that i knew of that had a wrecked 95 convert. So we went in with some plyers, sockets, etc and came out with a bill of $210 and a car full of parts. We got a new deck lid *in red with the underside cover*, GT front sway bar, OEM GT strut bar, lighted ignition ring, climate controll *for me to tinker around with*, blower motor, shifter surround with convertable switches, shift knob, vent for the peice under the steering colom *for some reason my GTS doesnt have it but sarahs coupe does*, a OEM leather wrapped shift knob and a couple other little parts. We were gonna take the steering wheel out, but i couldnt remember how to get the airbag out. It was a pretty nice leather wraped gt wheel too. So im gonna b headin back out that way in a week or so's time to pick that up too. Ill have pics of the progress in a few days.

Wow. It's really coming together slowly. It'll look so much better with the TRD style spoiler and Curren tail lights. You must love your girlfriend alot to be doing all this for her.

You must love your girlfriend alot to be doing all this for her. Currens are probably gonna be coming in a short time. But i think its more she loves me more to trust me to do all the work. But i like working on cars and customizing them. with her car, i can try new things on her car, and i can always do more work. Plus with her car being the lowest end model, i can always build up on it. It's really coming along, nice job!
So, what was the point of moving the mirror switch to the center console next to the cigarette lighter? Just aesthetic(sp)? Or do you have something else where it used to be now? -------------------- 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi 1974 Datsun 260Z 1997 Subaru Legacy L Wagon Kind of missin' my Celica GT! yep....
so yesterday was a fun day. we took the car to a shop to get a safety check. So we go bring the car down, and pick it up and e found out we need new drums, a new front caliper, and 2 new tires on the front *good thing they are only $60 a peice*. So now we got a new caliper, drums, etc on order..should b in on wensday, but our temporary trip ticket is expired today and we cant get another one because we imported the car. So we are kinda screwed in that sence. But also, as we were coming back from the shop..sarah was driving at first and noticed that the brake pedal felt kinda spongy and the brakes didnt grab very well..so half way home we switched, i started to drive and then we had no brakes what so ever. So we pulled over and called the shop..and you have to love the conincidence of us leaving a shop where they were checking the brakes and pulled the drums off, and that within 20 min of picking it up, we blow a wheel cylinder. So we got the cylinder on order so its coming in on wensday too...but heres the best part....we are heading back to toronto untill like the 3rd on tuesday *yay*..lol. So we had to get Keroppi towed home...poor Keroppi. But when we get back in Sept, the work is gonna start all over again and she should be better than new. Pics Sarah next to pour hurting Keroppi |
