So, what was the point of moving the mirror switch to the center console next to the cigarette lighter? Just aesthetic(sp)? Or do you have something else where it used to be now? it's an ST with no power windows/locks so the mirror switch is not on the door. Oh...riight, my bad! So im only gonna be able to do the front caliper *managed to get that on Saturday*. But every thing should be done by the end of the first week of school. We also got a GT front swaybar thats going on with polyurethane bushings too. Keroppi...cute. lol..this is actually Keroppi Jr....Keroppi Sr. was her 83 Celica GT. She choise Keroppi because she thought that her 83 looked like a frog...and she thought that her new car looks like a frog too. Plus when we were in France, we got custom lisence plates. I got Valo666 and then she got Keroppi. So the name just kinda stuck. |

Im thinkin about it...but its not my car...so it all depends on what the GF wants....also i cant find all the rear brake parts at any scrap yards around here..but eventually. I think we might go with the ST185 2pot caliper brake upgrade on the front someitme soon. |

quick update..i did a bit more work on the engine bay..added a celica logo, billet oil cap, GT front strut bar, and did a few hoses in blue vacuum line.
i cleaned up the wiper arms too cuz they were starting to rust out...they look better now Also i did some more work and made the cilmate controll light up the same colour as every thing else in the car.. I also added a nice bright LED 194 bulb that i found in my glove box in the trunk too..has a nice purplish colour to it... and a show of what we managed to pickup at the scrap yard for $200...a trunk, inner trunk pannel, blower motor with fan, gt front strut bar, GT front sway bar, shifter surround with cig lighter and convertable switches, lighted key ring, lighted courtesy marker, a second climate controll and the vent that goes under the steering coloum and a leather wrapped shift knob. Im also gonna be gettin a GT leather wrapped steering wheel tomorrow. pics of the part and just for fun.. and with the shifter surround, some sheet metal, some hammering, and a few quick holes drilled out... thats for my car though..thats just the rough mounting too..it will look a hell of alot better when i get out to my friends house where he has a vice and i can bend the metal alot better and make sharper bends...so...now we go on vacation...headin back to toronto untill the 3rd then i come back and i start my new job at nissan...so..things are going good...also we found a new door for $150 just over the boarder, so we might be picking that up soon too. |

So tonight, im gonna b washin the shoes down *covered in brake fluid*, cleanin em up, puttin the drum on, bleeding the brakes, and gettin her back on the road. We are gonna drive it down to the shop tonight and leave it in the yard for them to finish up the safety and then we r gonna get it plated by the end of the week. So should be good now.

well....this car doesnt like me...i went to change the wheel cylinder 2nights ago...got it all done except for 1 spring. So i got the spring on, checked the width apart, checked the diamater of the drum..put the drum on...got it ready to be bled...bled the front caliper. First time..no problem...second time...no problem..then as im pressureizing it for the 3rd time..all i hear is *pop*...so i pulled the drum off...new wheel cylinder popped the same way. So i ordered a new one so tomorrow after im done work im gonna put it on, the new shoes, the new drum bleed the system..and then im gonna be doing the new trunk and hopefully drilling the holes for the TRD spoiler.
EDIT: also, i might do the front swaybar and blower motor too. Got some polyurethane mounts for the front sway bar, so its just gonna be takin the old mounts and endlinks off and slaping the new bar in place. This post has been edited by Valo666: Sep 7, 2007 - 8:17 PM |

so...nothing big, but I FINALY! got the car road legal. 3 wheel cylindrs and a few headache filled hours later, its done. I found out why the wheel cylinders popped. The backing plate was pretty freakin rusty, so the 4 spots where the shoes rest on the backing plate i cleaned up, lubed up and i also put new shoes on. New shoes, springs, wheel cylinder, and some lube and the brakes are right as rain. So we finaly got it fully passed e-test and safety and got plates on it today. Other than that, nothing else really has been done...i painted the new decklid/trunk...now i just gotta paint up the spoiler and drill some holes and its set to go. But i think im gonna take some time off from working on it. Also, im gettin a job working in parts at the local toyota dealership starting next week, so im gonna b ordering lots of new stuff for both the coupe and the hatchback.
Pics of the newly painted trunk.... it still needs another coat and a coat of clear This post has been edited by Valo666: Sep 14, 2007 - 5:54 PM |

So i did some good work today...i mounted up sarah's new switch...so far its for nothing, but we are planning on gettin some OEM fogs, so im gonna do the wiring up to the switch for it.
and FINALY i got the TRD spoiler mounted. It was actually pretty easy, and Sarah LOVES!!! it. We also put the rims back on after gettin the car safetied. *one of the tires is running low on tread and one wheel is bent*. Sar puttin her wheels on and the car with the spoiler and rims on and the happy garage...sooo many fun cars so now..we r gonna get a new door, paint it up...new front end links with the GT front swaybar, work on the audio system *cleaning up wiring mostly*, new seat covers *and one new back support peice*, and then just gettin every thing ready for paint probably over the winter and new wheels to come by then too. |

Its like a 20 car garage too, but we only have like 4 cars in there at most. Ill take some more pics tomorrow. I gotta go get some new push pins to hold the end plates on cuz the ones i got with it are a bit 2 small.

well..the ride home was fun today. Sarah and i headed back to toronto today, about a 3.5-4hr drive. About an hour and a half in, we heard this big CLUNK! sound. Sarah was driving at the time and we didnt know where it came from. So we pulled over on the side of the highway, i took a look around..every thing looked fine. So we kept driving, about 40 min later, we stopped for some gas. We started to drive on these side roads because of a de-tour to get back on the highway. As we were driving, we started hearing this terrible clunking sound again. I thought i may have blown one of the swaybar end links i replaced the night b4..So we kept driving and just b4 we got onto the highway again, we pulled over, checked every thing out..every thing looked ok. End links were perfect. So we just kept going thinking it may be the shock or the spring not sitting right. After 2 hours of driving to get back to toronto, the clunking starts again. I was driving and started to notice some irregularitys in the brake pressure. So we finaly got to her house, then left and came to mine all the while this clunking was still happening. When we got here, i started to bounce the car to see if i could hear where it was coming from...so i got sarah to bounce the car instead. Even b4 the first bounce, i found the problem. Her drivers side caliper was pretty much falling off. And by pretty much, i mean like 3/4 of it. So the clunking sound was the caliper hittin the wheel as it moved. I havent taken the wheel off yet to see if its the bolts or what, but its moving pretty freely. Im gonna double check it tomorrow and see what the problem is. Hopefully i can get all the parts rush ordered in for saturday otherwise we r screwed cuz her car is our only ride back to windsor on sunday....this car really likes to piss me off..lol
