hey guys, garrett over @ wolfkatz.com has made up some SWEET mr2 oil pan level sensor cover plates.
cnc machined for a perfect fit, with a nice o-ring seal, and anodized for corrosion protection.
gone are the days of gooping gasketmaker on a peice of scrap sheetmetal, and sealing it on there with some JB weld.

From what I have seen / remember... USDM MR2 oil pan has the oil level sensor, JDM doesn't (was replace by cat temp sensor for the light on the dash). This only goes for the 2nd gen motors. Don't quote me on that though!

no. IIRC the JDM mr2 pan does NOT have a level sensor.
the sensor he is talking about is in the downpipe.

Yeah, that's correct. Sorry I wasn't clear. The same place on the gauge cluster that has a low oil light in the US has a cat-overheat light in Japan. The sensors are in different places.
