its caused by sucky cd player that has no shock protection. usually the cd player stores a considerable amount of the song in memory so that when you go over a bump the laser can read the skipped part from memory.

check your software for the volume issue. different burning and ripping programs have volume normalizing settings

bumps=crappy cd player
volume=normal prob with aftermarket cd player the cds are more clear and not being filtered though radio waves which weakns the loudness of the volume

When you means the CD player cuts do you mean like the CD skips or the numbers keep going and there is no sound? ....cause that could be a bad ground or loose wire behind the headunit....

PS what headunit do you have?

see, my view on audio is, if your gonna do it, do it right from the start and make it what you want, ive been told that if you are looking for amprage, 1 watt = $1 so if you want 900 watts powered, look into spending 900$ otherwise it will blow monkey balls

do they even make $900 dollar headunits?

and btw thats an INCREDIBLE waste of money, like i cant even think of a worse way to spend almost a grand, if your gonna spend 900 get a figgen alpine.
