So here's the deal. I bought a convertible top with both motors from tin foil. He told me he had to take the motors off to bring the package to less than 100 pounds. I sent him the money, and he agreed to ship the motors seperately. Before he shipped them, he said he went on vacation to California for 2 weeks. Three weeks later, his inbox is either turned off, or full. I tried using the email he gave me to paypal the money to, but no response after three days. I have been patient up to this point, but now I'm wondering if he's running off with my motors. Does anybody know him in real life, or can provide me any information?

Yea, he seems like a good guy, he shoulda had them shipped the 2 weeks he said he would before the vacation though. I want to give him a chance, before I file a paypal claim.

Hey all. Sorry, I didn't mean to get you worried. I had some car trouble in California, and ended up being there a total of 18 days. =] Just to put you all at ease, I've been here on the site for quite awhile and have actually done a lot of buying and selling with people, I've just never gotten around to doing that reputation thing. (how does it work anyway? rolleyes.gif ). Maybe I see the benefit of it now, though. wink.gif Anyway, once again, sorry. The motors are getting shipped tomorrow.

(BTW, QuintinGT, BlackCelicaGT94, Kasper, Coomer, and several other of the NW people should all have my number, lol) wink.gif

Caveat emptor- Paypal won't refund your money. I tried to do that a year ago. After 60 days of waiting, they approved my claim that I was ripped off. Their help? If they guy who stole my money, ever left money in his pay pal account they would give it to me. Of course he was not stupid enough to do this. This is the Pay Pal buyer protection. Thus- always use your credit card, and usually your credit card company will refund your money instead.

Read the fine print for the buyer protection. It's almost no protection at all.
