 removing sticker residue from oem skirts, tried all the stuff |

tried wd-40, pb blaster, goo-gone, thinner...EVERYTHING i can think of and these bastard things jus dont wanna get off me oem side skirts.... any tips?????

I used some bumper sticker remover that I bought from AutoZone I believe. What I did was scrape away as much as I could first, then spray the area well and wait 3 -4 minutes to let it soak in. Then I scraped off a little more. It takes a while but if you keep repeating this eventually you can get it all off. --------------------  |

goo gone works, you gotta rub it in with your fingers not a towel. chanh thought me this and it works really well

haha.. that took me a while to remove to...

a towel just absorbs the goo gone and wont work, use fingers

teh oem skirts have 2 clear film on the backside.....
the finger/goo gone trick works but only for the top portion....the bottom portion of the residue i jus use 60 grit sandpaper..and its REALLY messy..... -------------------- |

try some epoxy or rubber cement. rubber cement worked for me, but don't leave it on too long otherwise it'll just make the situation worse... g.l.

heat up the stuff maybe with a heat gun and its easier to rub off with your fingers.

Lol. If you peel off the clear stickers in a certain way it will get most of the residue off. You have to peel it off steadily and dont stop because if you stop pulling for a second it will leave a line of residue where you stopped. I don't know if that makes sense but anyway...

Mac tools sells a rubber/plastic attachment for a drill chuck. Its a wheel that you can spin right on paint and will remove glue, stickers, adhesive, etc. Just be carefull not to spend too much time in one spot or spin it up too fast. Itll take the paint right off! Especially on plastic. I believe you can get this for $15-$20.
