Would this be an upgrade from the stock turbo? Not really much of an upgrade? It seems to be pretty much a complete change over. Does it?

too cheap to be any good for long.
if your going to think about upgrading you gotta do alot of research first.
how much power do you want is the first question you need to answer before you decide on what your buying.
do you have enough fuel, how will you tune it, do you have sufficient intercooling? lotta things to think about.

let me guess, you got that from an ebay auction? those are fake knockoff turbos. everyone that bought one said they failed right after install.

Yeah it is too cheap. Its less than half the price of all the other ones I've seen out there. Just curious about some opinions. It seems like a direct fit and a cheap upgrade for now. Something to toy with before I figure out exactly what I want. A lot of people say upgrading the ct26 to a ct27 is a pretty good low cost investment. If anything though, I've rather have a new turbo kit with some gains and have the stock parts sitting around if I need it later.

No actually it came from a website. I haven't even thought about searching ebay for turbos.

You can get a used/blown CT26 for pretty cheap these days.
Buy it as a core and send it to ATS to minimize down time.
