Has anybody heard anything about these cars? Considering it as being my next car. Does anybody know how much the Evo X is going to sell for when it comes out? 35,000? 40,000? Also considering this car as well.

from what i hear, the new lancer is a really great car.

as for the evo... only time will tell. its got a lot of people hyped up, but they ditched the 4g63, so no one knows how that will work out .

i saw one driving the other day. I followed it a bit just so i could check it out. I dunno. The back ends on those cars are really big. And the whole car has no curves its all lines. But exterior aside, i hear its great.

Mitsubishi's website still says turbocharged + super awd? maybe they're making a new version of 4g63?

it will still be turbo and awd, but the motor is going to be an all aluminum block based off of the same motor design thats in the normal lancer.

I really like these cars. Someone at my school has one in a Gunmetal color and it looks really sweet.

nope...no more 4g63 for the evoX. evo9 is the last one with that motor.

i got to drive an 08 evo. really nice car actually... its really fast but you don't really feel the speed. it has a ton of luxury features too. but mitsubishi is not really my brand of choice. i wish that toyota would manufacture a sports car... but i digress, for it shall be far too long before they do.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

When did you get to crive the 08 Evo!?!?! Mitsu has been really tight lipped about the new Evo, only releasing final produciton photos last month. Did you ride in the test mule they have running around So Cal?? Canyou give us any more detail???

there isnt much known about the new Evo. What we do know is that the Evo will be the same dimensions as the new Lancer, but 3 inches wider. It will have the new 4b11t aluminum block, open deck engine with MIVEC which has an 86mm by 86mm bore. Some speculate this means the 4b11 will need less boost to produce more power by using a much higher reving engine. Power numbers in all trade magazines are in the range of 300-320 hp. The turbo will be near the firewall, improving heat isolation and flow. The new Evo will have SAWC with AYC (active yaw control) for the first time in the US. Specluation on weight seems to be 3200 to 3500 lbs. Price speculation is around $35,000 to $40,000. Mitsu expect to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in October so as not to be overshadowed byt the GTR during the Tokyo Auto Show. I think we have all seen the production photos, if not:

edit: I forgot to mention, The new Evo will be offered with a 5 speed manual or a dual clutch paddle shift manual similar to the VWs DSG.

I can't say a lot but a relative works for mitsubishi... he wouldn't let me go over 50 frown.gif and he didn't want me to take it out on the main street incase of an accident. if someone else is caught driving his car he could lose his job so i can't say much... sorry
