Requesting pictures of s2000 antenna conversions. Please post pics on hatchback with stock spoiler if possible. Close-ups, far away etc...
edit: I know devilsden97 posted this s2000 part number/pics thread - but am hoping he can post day pictures here. (devilsden97, YGPM) Btw, anyone know of a shorter antenna other than s2000? I'll be doing mine here in the next couple of days. Hope I don't screw it up. Already got all the necessary items for it. Will post pics when I'm done; I've got a hatch with the 3 post spoiler (white).

It took me sooooo long to do mine, and now that i have it, im really sorry it did. its an AWSOME mod, for cheap...also its super easy. And if u want a super clean and simple look, its much easier then shaving the mast, and filling the hole, and painting that rear quarter and blah blah blah. just do it. (plus it gives u street cred with the honda guys lol) -------------------- Kawi Love |

How is the reception? Is it as good as the stock antenna. My stockie is broken in half so I gotta figure out something b/c my stupid CD player isn't working either.

not the best pictures, but the only ones i have with it on. used the 7g base. required a little modification to get it to fit, but its worth it. looks good and i get good reception. -------------------- I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |

Like what actual part did u purchase? because what i bought, the 7th gen manual antenna tube, i would consider the base. clear up my confusion? -------------------- Kawi Love |

i hv a 7th gen base as well... (part #:86309-20300)

i think u guys that ordered the 7th gen "base" also obtaind the nut that locks the antenna in place. I didnt get that nut, and it saved me some trouble.

a better pic. not perfect but it works. devil, i think you ordered the same part, you just arent using the mast nut. the problem is when you tighten the mast nut, it doesnt pull up the antenna tube enough for the s2k antenna to thread. the curvature of the body is different with the 6g and 7g so you have to grind the bottom of the black plastic piece.

I had to file out the hole to the "mast nut" a little to get the 7th gen tube to fit all the way up and in, but it was a cake walk. -------------------- Kawi Love |
