Hey everyone, what is better, a 3 way speaker, or a component speaker package, just wondering what has better quality

Components usually sound better and offer more flexablity in aiming the speakers. But having said that there are also some great sounding 3 way speakers out there and for ease of installation 3 ways are hard to beat. Go out and listen to as many speakers as you can and see what sounds best too you.

Of course, it all depends on your personal taste, but about your question:
a) There are 3 way components and 3 way coaxials, coaxials are where all of the speakers lie in one setting. b) It is pretty damn hard to beat components, the quality is usually better. c) It depends on the brand of speaker. If you say to put in some 3 way sony xplod´s or put in a pair of... say... Focal 165v components, the sony´s are no match for the focals. d) 3 way components of the same type will usually be better than 2 ways. e) YOUR EARS NEVER LIE.
