I'm about 1 " lower all around using TRD springs and KYB GR-2s, the ride feels just like stock but with a little better handling I have more suspension upgrades that may affect the way I feel the lowering springs but it feels really nice to me.

I'm running the Tein SS Coilover setup, lowered somewhere around 2-3". It's difficult to know exactly what the drop is compared to stock because I've adjusted the ride height several times, so who knows.
The feel of the car is just awesome when they are set on the most firm setting you can go (level 15). The strut/spring combo is the only suspension mods I have done, and I honestly can't imagine how well the handling will be with R-compound tires, sway bars, and chassis bracing. These are very solid and durable struts, they've seen alot of driving so far and it totally changed the way my car felt, 150%. Heres my observations: - Stiff settings mean stiff. The handling is amazing, but you'll be hurting if the roads are less than smooth. - The car keeps its composure much better under hard acceleration and braking, shifting is much more positive. - Stock struts are much more capable of handling bumps, so if you value ride quality more than overall handling, stick with stock struts. - Softest settings are much better on bumps, but things get very bouncy (bound/rebound adj. are on the same knob.) - Very durable. I've done alot of hard driving and hit some nasty potholes with them, and they feel just like the day I bought them. - The shocks run out of travel easily if you raise the ride height above the standard settings (about 2-2.5" drop). I've had wheels lift off the ground before and its not fun. - The lowest point of the chassis has about 4" ground clearance underneath the car at standard ride height settings. My Verdict: If you want a stiff ride with great handling, and you have plenty of $$ for chiropractor visits....buy the Tein SS. They can go really low and the feature of selective dampening is great. If you like a more comfortable ride with improved handling over stock, get a stock strut/aftermarket spring combo and you'll be very happy.
