I Searched around to see if there was a thread started about this, and didn't find one so if there is one sorry. But i was just wanting to see how big of a difference it is in every state...

I'll start first (even tho mines probably the worst lol.)

I'm from Nebraska and our Wage is $5.15 an HR. I honestly think its pretty sad.

Yea I hear ya. Nobody here could live off of $5.15 an hour. Our minimum wage is supposed to go to $7.50 in the next 2 years. But $7.50 an hour still wouldn't be enough for me to live on my own. Its ridiculous.

In the UK, from October 2007 the adult minimum wage rate will rise to £5.52

That is approx $11.18 per hour.

We call it the McDonalds rate.
People judge cost of living in different parts of the world by the price of a big mac meal / minimum wage

Big mac meal approx $8.50 in UK

Minimum wage is $7.50 now? No wonder it cost at least 7 bucks for a decent lunch nowadays...
