about as snug as spark plugs, most alloy valve covers are around 10-20lb/ft. spark plugs are about 14lb/ft. just snug it down so it squishes the gasket firmly and doesnt leak, its not rocket science!

I believe the Haynes manual for the 7a goes something like "Snug them down just enough not to break the rubber washers." LOL, so I don't think it has to be overly accurate as far as lb/ft
