Just picked it up today. It currently has the kit lense. Along with it I picked up: Polarizer UV filter 4GB Extreme III CF card 75" tripod portable tripod Those were the bare essentials I figured to get started, I can't wait to go out and take some shots! First two fresh from the camera, just goofin around: Cars, Motorcycles, and now photography? My hobbies sure don't line up with my salary! |

Oh yeah it'll be a money pit. I've got my eye on the Canon 70-300 DO IS USM which retails around $1,000.

Yeah, I'm looking at the sig 17-70mm as my walkaround.
What do you guys recommend for evening/sunset car shots? probably not much zoom required. |

You can do those fine with any lens really. I'd recommend using a tripod regardless.
If you get a faster lens you can shoot at higher speeds, granted you will have a shallow DOF the lower you go. It really depends on what your going for as to how you use the camera. This post has been edited by Supersprynt: Jul 13, 2007 - 3:46 PM -------------------- |
