well the owner used to go to my school, he graduated this year.
but at the school car show about 3-4 months ago, he had is 1995 mustang vert in the show. at the time it had a 5.0 cobra engine swapped in and a saleen body kit. it looked good, but then i noticed a boost gauge on the dash but there was no form of boost what so ever on the car. that left me a little dissapointed. but i saw him again tonight, and now he has a vortech s trim SC on the car. we both ended up at my cousin's house and we were all talking out side. the reason he had the boost gauge was he was about to buy an SC when the tranny blew, so he had to wait and save up again to get the SC. even better is what he made for the car himself. as most of you guys know, on a SC you have to change the pulley to get more boost. what he did was, instead of buying a new vortech pulley, he made a custom OD crank pulley, yes OD. its the first time i have ever heard of anything like that. anyway, it is by far the fastest car i have gotten a ride in. he now runs low elevens. btw, i finally got the, isnt your car a supra? i was on the way to my cuz's house to do some stuff and, by chance, he was on his way there too. so i started driving fast, you know, to make him fly by(this was before i realized he had installed an SC) but he was staying pretty far back. we end up at my cousins place and we all start talking. and then he asked me what i ran at LACR the last time i was there. i told him 17.6, and he said: "****, you must have really f'ed up to make a supra go that slow" i replied: "i wish it was a supra, but 17.6 aint too bad for a 105hp car" then he said: "dude, no offense, but why do you even run the car if its that slow" i then told him of what i was going to be installing in the next week or so. so yea, for someone that drives daily in a 105hp car, 600hp equals one set of soiled pants -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

That sounds sweet! I had a similar experience a little while ago, when I got to ride in my mechanic's Neon coupe which puts down 432 horsepower at the wheels at 20 psi of boost.

97sccelica, I'm guessing he's about 450ish. feels good in a fast car huH? I felt it too. IN a su pra though:)
coomer, were you glued to the seats? the feeling is so pleasureable. Still people, our cars ARE fast. Not stock of course. How many have left the celica so far? Screw an MKIV. with the same amount you could be enjoying the same fun exept in AWD. |

Sounds unreal man! I've never been a fan of US muscle cars, but there's something about the stangs My old mans 2001 cobra is only 450+ hp, but phwar! It's still unreal!
btw I have been talked into not doing the engine swap by my old man. I get 30k from my grandfathers will in a month, and It's all going to be invested. Looks like I'll be trading the celi in in a year or two, and getting either a TT MKIV, skyline gts4 or a WRX sti. The 6th gen GT4 is still my absolute dream car, but I really don't see it as a reality with all the import laws around here. It's a real shame that the most beautiful car on the planet is pretty much unreachable for me. - Unless I move to Japan or Europe somewhere. I also found out that with my new job, I might be sent over to cali for work in a year or two, so I might be able to catch up with some of you dudes. Pity I won't be able to bring the car though |

thats wheel hp right? the 600ish i said was @ the crank man was that car fast. you could feel the frame moving around from all the power, but then it was a vert. and GT2GT4 i have a custom turbo setup that is going in. all i need is an oil feedline and my jgs manifold is being welded right now. everything else is installed. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
