OK well for about the past week or so its been rerally frecking loud too say the least. I can hear it over my stereo and all...I think it the wheel bearing but Im not sure how too tell. It sounds like a pulsing/ grinding noise the fast I go the louder and more freq. it gets. Now my brakes are new and where changed about 3,000 miles ago. But when we put the pads back on we took off the side noise reducers..(don't ask why..*cough*) and it kinda started around then. Not sure if it was the pads moving around or something else. The brakes don't seem too pulse or anything and stoping is fine. Another thing is when turning onto a jug handle or on ramp the noise stops...but I thought a wheel bearing would get louder if it was on it way out.... please let me know the sound is driving me insane.. laugh.gif

if it gets louder as you speed up it sounds like the wheel bearing. Its basically a loud humming noise. Sometimes it stoped when i hit a hard turn, your problem does sound like a wheel bearing. If you decide to change it, i made a write up on how to do it : http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=49331

hope it helps smile.gif

Yes, do yourself a favor and get a good quality bearing.

You can't go wrong with OEM, but Timken and Federal Mogul are good as well.
I believe OEM is AISN, so if you can find that aftermarket it would work as well.

Either of those brands make a rear wheel bearing assembly?? I'm still having issues ordering the part - and I would like to get new, not junk yard used... :S
