Im looking into swapping into a new engine from a automatic 94' Celica (obviously) ST 7A-FE to a 4A-GE.... Can you tell me if the following engine is good, and if there will any issues regarding the axel and tranny, im going to get someone to do it for 1600 with dyno...they said it will take about a week.... anyways..tell me if its any good, and if its actually worth it... and what else ill need in order to have it run perfect....

1600 for the engine, trans, ecu, etc - Installed and dyno tuned?

no, it was 1600 for install,originally it was 2200 then i got him to 1600 then again to 1200...engine is 825

If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, then go for it. If you can pull the 7A and drop in the 4A just send the two harnesses to Dr. Tweak. Save yourself some money.

95CelicaST is right about the harness. You'll need someone to make you a wiring harness conversion by means of combining both 7afe and 4age wiring harness into one complete harness. And yes Dr. Tweak is the man for the job if you aren't comfortable on making the harness yourself. Oh and just pm me for more details. smile.gif

then you need to send it and the one from your car to dr. tweak to make you a harness so the 4a will run in your car

I pmed him...but i still dont know what im looking to do.... and i need to drive my car when they get the engine....untill they finish cleaning it up and preping it for swap....so if they need my wiring harness for that...aint gonna happen

Why would it need to be dyno tuned?

With the dyno tune, it would be a great way to see how much hp the car is putting at the wheels. This in turn will see what you have and what you can to to improve engine performance. IMO, dyno tuning more so applies to aftermarket ecu's like megasquirts and haltech where you will need to fine tune the ecu to run the engine at it's maximum potential in both stock and mildly built form. Where as a stock ecu can't be tuned and the dyno is just there to see the output of the engine.

agreed to your opinion.... but at the same time on stock its nice to see what you have but for 60/hr who k,nows
