 E-153 intall help, Correct parts? |

Over the weekend, I mocked up my E-153 transmission into the engine bay. We had the transmission on a stand and got a vision as to how this is going to sit in the car when my motor is ready to be installed. I read the sticky posted about making this transmission fit and now have some questions about this.
About the axles... The transmission is a 94 MR2T with lsd. The inner half shafts I have are from the exact same transmission. I also have ST205 axles in which I will be using the outer halfshafts from to mate to the inner halfshafts of the MR2 axles. Will this work? About the mounts... I have GT mounts for the front, and passenger side. I have two driver's side mounts for the transmission (both are the same part number, 12372-74451), and an ST205 rear mount on order from Champion Toyota. Will these work? About the shifter cables... I read in Defgeph's write up on his motor swap, that the MR2T needs to use the GT shifter cables. Is this correct? I am fully prepared to customize anything that needs to be customized. If there is anything else that I am missing or that I need instead of what I have, I would greatly appreciate the insight. Thanks for all of your time, Steve --------------------  |
