I found a good deal on a new motor its a 94 gt 5 sfe and I have a 96 celica will the motor fit in my car and work.

I'm sorry but the answer isn't a simple yes

94 5sfe is an OBDI motor
this means your distributor and a few other components (some wiring) are different

a 96 5sfe celica is OBD2.

you need to swap things between the motors in order to get the 94 to work correctly in your car. Pressure2 has done this conversion

ok yup you guys are right. thank you Im going to get the motor and Im going to have it. put it change wires and what not the main problam I was thinking about was with the cam sensior so its pretty much takeing two motors and making it one motor

obd 2/1 conversion is super easy. just use your old harness/ecu, and bolt over the few things that dont plug right in.
