If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, then go for it. If you can pull the 7A and drop in the 4A just send the two harnesses to Dr. Tweak. Save yourself some money.

I'm talking about buying the engine and swapping it yourself. Save some money.

95CelicaST is right about the harness. You'll need someone to make you a wiring harness conversion by means of combining both 7afe and 4age wiring harness into one complete harness. And yes Dr. Tweak is the man for the job if you aren't comfortable on making the harness yourself. Oh and just pm me for more details. smile.gif

Go this website:

http://www.phoenixtuning.com/

Read his wiring conversion section of the site and his service prices. If you have any more questions then either pm him again or email him at the listed email address. Believe me, he knows alot more then I do on Toyota Engine Swaps and I can only help you the best that I can. I don't have aim but you can email me at netrata@yahoo.com for my help. Or maybe I should try and get aim or msn mesenger. Oh wait, get a gmail account since they have an instant messenger. Tweak and I used gmail when I needed answers right away.

Why would it need to be dyno tuned?

With the dyno tune, it would be a great way to see how much hp the car is putting at the wheels. This in turn will see what you have and what you can to to improve engine performance. IMO, dyno tuning more so applies to aftermarket ecu's like megasquirts and haltech where you will need to fine tune the ecu to run the engine at it's maximum potential in both stock and mildly built form. Where as a stock ecu can't be tuned and the dyno is just there to see the output of the engine.
