this might of been covered at somepoint and time before.. its been a while since I have needed info about the 3sgte swap and before I removed the A/C for more HP and for weight.

But I was talkin with stipt a while back and we where talking about how the A/C on the 3sgte swap is kind of a problem with most people not being able to hook it up properly... well that got me to thinking, so this sunday I was just kinda messing around on my 3sgte waitin for paint to dry and I got to looking at the A/C unit for both the 5sfe and the 3sgte. now the pipes that come out of the A/C unit are not interchangeable so it would be a real pain to try and hook the 3sgte pipes to the chassis pipes of the 6th, but if the 5sfe A/C unit would work then there would be no problem hookin the pipes back together. well I unbolted the A/C from my 5sfe.. probably about the only thing still worth a damn on that motor and sure enuf the A/C unit bolted right in, the pully lines up, the harness will plug into it and it also runs the pipes in a fashion that is not only more appealing to the eye but keeps them away from the exhaust manifold.

now you guys who might try this... I have taken my 3sgte back out of my car for the time being so I am not sure if this will have the right clearance in the engine bay but looks like it should be fine.. I am also not 100% sure if the ECU will run this or not but would assume that it would just fine.

If someone does try this on a 3sgte that is currently installed please let me know... would like that extra HP that not having the A/C gives but it gets kinda hot sometimes and was thinking about just running the motor with 2 different belts.. one to support A/C and one without.. that way if I know Im gonna go race I can change the belts but if Im just gonna be drivin around town then I'll hook up the A/C and not sweat to death
