well due to how many people i've helped through the process, i've decided to make it simpler... send me your climate control box and tell me the color you want... $2 per LED including installation costs... about 12 LED's needed to complete, takes 1-2 days to complete and then shipped back to you... current color choices are blue, red, green and white (white is a little more expensive but is a pure white), PM me any questions or for address to send unit...
EDIT: I WANT TO ALSO ADD THAT THE WORK I DO IS NOT THE SPRAY-PAINT HOW-TO SHOWN IN THE HOW_TO SECTION, mine are LED's soldered into the board in the correct positions, every LED is tested before sending back to you to make sure it is working correctly, EVERY light on the climate control board will be whatever color you pick and can be changed in the future if you so wish, this is not a permanent modification like the spray paint (they will be the color for as long as you choose) PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD This post has been edited by pittfirefighter: Jul 25, 2007 - 2:46 PM -------------------- Breaking Axles...

QUOTE(pittfirefighter @ May 6, 2007 - 4:41 PM) well due to how many people i've helped through the process, i've decided to make it simpler... send me your climate control box and tell me the color you want... $2 per LED including installation costs... about 12 LED's needed to complete, takes 1-2 days to complete and then shipped back to you... current color choices are blue, red, green and white (white is a little more expensive but is a pure white), PM me any questions or for address to send unit... Ive already converted mine to blue. Except for the green leds that show what is on or off. Do you have these for sale? Also, the leds I used for the background color for the setting of face-floor-defrost and so on, were too long. The illumination for this had a clear plastic insert that needs a small bulb. Mine are too long and illuminates dull. Are you leds short enough to illuminate this? How much for the bulbs or where did you buy them? Thanks |

pictures will be posted after the first one i do, might be mine once i get my new celica back from the transmission shop... i might be able to dig up some pics from my old red celica from before the accident (red lights) but i'll have to look around...
as for the small green LEDs, those are the tough ones, those need to be desoldered and resoldered and thats what makes this such a PITA EDIT: I WANT TO ALSO ADD THAT THE WORK I DO IS NOT THE SPRAY-PAINT HOW-TO SHOWN IN THE HOW_TO SECTION, mine are LED's soldered into the board in the correct positions, every LED is tested before sending back to you to make sure it is working correctly, EVERY light on the climate control board will be whatever color you pick and can be changed in the future if you so wish, this is not a permanent modification like the spray paint (they will be the color for as long as you choose) This post has been edited by pittfirefighter: May 6, 2007 - 10:31 PM -------------------- Breaking Axles...

ok this is an OLD pic from my old celica, you'll see the light fading in some areas as mentioned by another member, this problem was fixed before my car was wrecked and no longer looks like this, light is dispersed evenly using multi-directional LED's, you can however see the indicator lights red which were soldered into the board, looks 100% stock WARNING: RED LIGHTS WILL NOT SHINE THROUGH THE BLUE ON THE CLIMATE CONTROL SWITCH FOR HOT AND COLD, AND LIKEWISE WITH BLUE THROUGH RED (i believe, i've never tried blue LED's but i will be using them on my new celica) however i can use just white behind the AC control so both the red and blue will show up.... also i know of cutting out the color so only one color will show up all the way through but this is something i have not tried... i will do anything you want though... someone just asked me about blue background lights and red indicator - this is not a problem and any mix and match of colors can be done This post has been edited by pittfirefighter: May 6, 2007 - 10:49 PM -------------------- Breaking Axles...

ive tried sitching mine to a pure white color, the top buttons werent as bright and all of the buttons, the top ones and the inside/outside air along with the a/c button had a green tint to them... i dunno if its the type of plastic, im just interested in the 3 bulb spots that light them up if you have a place where i can get some nice BRIGHT white ones id appreciate it - all ive found were normal shoot in one direction led's and inverted ones which only shoot out the side (not illuminating the inside/outside air selector button) but multi-directional leds that small id love to know where to get em!

yes all you have to do is plug it in like normal when you get it back.... total cost depends on how much it costs you to ship it and how fast you want it back (cost of shipping service ~ ground, air, priority, overnight)
