Project Thread. Pt. 1, Facelift Options

I recieved my "new" bumper. its a stock 94 front end. it's red right now, but has stock turns, the emblem and its in really good condition. right now i have a jacked up c-one knock-off that a friend messed up by hitting a monster possum.

so for part one!
i have another blue fender to be put on the drivers side. it needs a little amount of tlc, one minor dent that has been popped to its best, but needs sanded and a little filler to smooth it out. ill prolly install this tomorro, and do the filling and smoothing myself. my dad will help of course. if i do, i know i cant find the color, its a custom color. i didnt get a paint code. i may just leave it as is and get it done w/ the paint.

next will be the new red bumper. i know its a direct fit b/c it is a stock bumper. i love the look. i may, or may not add the grille mesh behind the lower area, i like the idea, but i will have to see it. i might put my fogs back on this bumper also. this will be done relativly soon. i am hoping to safe enough to get splitters.



once all this is done, as soon as i get the cash and time, a new color. the color is Carbon Blue Mica, color code 210. i am plannng on having it done professionally, but i want to. problem is, i need some practice w/ a spray gun, i can make an area. i need teh paint, gotta find a place to make it. so no matter what i need to start saving up. im lookin for a part-time, or full time job. hoping for full. lookin at autozone, advance auto, napa(rather not...idk why tho), a restaurant, or if all else fails, the old burger flippin area. its not bad money only b/c i live w/ teh parentals.

i dont know quite yet. i thought about repairing it. ill let you know first if i do decide to rid it. if i do it wont have turn or nething. ill get some good pics of it and let you see them by tonight or tomorro

so i retrofitted the bumper,



i didnt have time to fit it completly, my driver fender is F'ed and i didnt have time before it started to rain to change it or permently palce the bumper. so i am still with the knock-off. if the rain ceases tomorro ill get the fender, and possible the bumper on.

so i finally go the bumper on. and where the car was damaged b4, i got better. the frame is a bit bent on the passenger side where the highbeam is bolted. it bolts on just isnt straight w/ the light hole. i fixed it the best i could for now. anyways. i installed the other fender..it needed some work as it was bent in the area by the door, and the door wouldnt open or close w/o catchin alot of the fender. i my dad and i fixed that, to a point that the door opens right. everything else is good. ihad to run to the store and get some nuts for the fender bolts, and new screws for my turns. i just sent out my stock amber one i got w/ the bumper in a trade for the stock 97 L/E clears. they should be here soon, i think thursday. now my car is really multicolored. im saving up now for money for body work, and paint.






anyone think i should put my skirts back on? they are the ones in my profile photos. they need sanded and repainted but ill do it w/ the car if i do put them on

yea put them back on...or at least get them painted when you paint the front end just in case.

yeah, i am getting it all painted blue. i am doing all the work myself as soon as i get some cash. ill go ahead and paint them, i wanted to get some splitters and the skirts would look sweet with those.

alright, so a little update. i finally got a job, and if i keep getting the hours i have been, then i will have plenty of money saved up in plenty of time for a really good paintjob. i will be doing the body work, but here is a p/s of what i think i may go with...

what do you all think? its a crappy p/s but it was quick and gentle.

haha, well actually only 3, but its close. its going to be a dark blue, and i am thinking i may do a two tone. if i ever get a good pic to work with, ill have the p/s of it.

95celicast has a 2 tone, check his out IMO it looks real cool ^^ do dark blue and a differnt tone of blue comming off it...but thats hard, if its done wrong can make car look BAAAAAd
