I am getting a header I won off ebay, the torque plate is on route and I also have found the ecu for it so it is a complete motor, now.

I'll take a pic of the engine after I install the new cam seals and timing belt.

Not that there was anything wrong with the old ones, I swaped the intake cam cause it was originally a manual equipped engine.

Gen3 3SGE A/T (170ps):
In: 240deg, 8.7mm lift (timing 7/53)
Ex: 240deg, 8.2mm lift (timing 53/7)

Gen3 3SGE M/T (180ps):
In: 252deg, 9.8mm lift (timing 7/65)
Ex: 240deg, 8.2mm lift (timing 53/7)

Gen3 3SGTE (245ps):
In: 240deg, 8.7mm lift (timing 7/53)
Ex: 236deg, 8.2mm lift (timing 50/6)

I have a 3G 3SGTE head and wanted the longer duration, higher lift cam from the N/A motor hence the swap and the reason for me listing it as a AUTO engine and not a manual - I did not swap the exhaust cam.
The engine was missing the header, flywheel and ecu when I purchased it, its only by chance that I was able to find the missing parts.

A good friend is interested in it at this point and wants me to put it in his wifes 6G Celica GT A/T, so she gets precidence for now until she changes her mind. My neighbour is also interested in it for his 6G Celica GTS A/T as well. Local's take precidance as its less headache for me to have to deal with shipping it.

Got the MAP sensor and ignitor needed to complete the swap and make the engine run correctly with the ecu, as complete as your going to find unless you buy a clip.

I got the cam seals in and the timing belt on, engine is now fully assembled, the flexplate you see on the floor behind the motor is the one for this engine, the heat shield you see to the right of it is not for this engine and is the only thing missing from the motor.

Yeah, I would be on this if it had the original JDM manual tranny on it.

Yes,
- remove the torque plate and bolt on a flywheel
- use a manual ecu

Well if your car originally comes equipped with the 7A-FE than that tranny will not bolt up to this motor nor will this motor bolt into your engine bay without welding in s-series motor and tranny mount brackets.
JDM gear ratios are over rated, I had them - didnt like them.

Exactly my point. So it would help alot if you did had the tranny. Unless the good DrTweak has a 3SGTE (MR2) or 5SFE tranny laying around. I guess there isn't much I can do. Good luck with the sale though. Bump.

I don't have one one hand, but GT trannys aren't too hard to find. Also, a manual ECU technically isn't needed, the auto will work fine, though it might have a lower rev limit.

I'd buy this whole setup if I had the money to put into my Celica. In fact... what would shipping be to Savannah, GA?

So I would need the 5S-FE Tranny to complete the swap?

Any 5-speed tranny that came attached to an s-series motor ie. 5sfe, 3sfe, 3sge even a 3sgte can be converter to FWD. Also any manual tranny that came from the MR2 or Camry.
