This is my current phone. IPB Image
Its and old beat up, Motorola E815.
freezes up on me and the external speaker is broken. so its hard to know when im getting a phone call.
Any suggestions for a new phone? My plan is to pick one up off of ebay.
a qwerty keypad is something else that i think would be cool.
so maybe post up the phone you have now and tell me how you like it.
Thanks, guys.

Ebay phone is not a good idea, unless you get a verizon phone and that will cost you almost the same as in a regular store but it will not have the same warranty service. if you get one of those unlocked phones it will not have all the functions and capabilities of a verizon phone and verizon will not insure it neither.

Ask me how I know smile.gif

very appealing. anyone have real world experience with it?
its kinda large for a cell phone but seems like it has alot of function to it.

It's ALOT of phone. Its basically a mini-computer. I wouldn't recommend it unless you really need to get to email and stuff on the go. Battery life is mediocre.

I like my Razr V3m. Small, easy to use, stylish, plays MP3s, transcard slot. I was disappointed in my battery life but since I don't use the internet I keep it in CDMA and now my battery lasts 3-4 days.

My friend has that phone and it EATS the battery life like crazy bc of that huge screen. Its charge holds out for a day if you plan on using it alot, it has games, Wi-Fi, etc.

I'm re-newing my plan within 2 weeks and possibly getting this phone

Or you could go with these

imo... verizon charges for everything. it's better off stayin with a simple phone. and i don't suggest getting verizon phones from ebay cause if the phone so happens to be a lost/stolen phone, you won't be able to swap your service over.

i just changed over to verizon and got hooked up with a deal through my mom's work. Ended up gettin an LG Chocolate for 52.99 and its nice, the touch keypad takes a little getting used to but its small and light has a good quality camera and has some of the best reception as far as phones go

I just bought a blackberry curve tonight. Great phone. Easy to text on. And i love my unlimited internet. I was going to get an Iphone but after playing with it in the store for 30 min I decided against it.

if you text alot, qwerty pads are the only way to go. id take texting on my sidekick over any regular t9 or itap predictive text messaging. i used to have the lg vx9800 (i think they call it the enV) and that was pretty good. really long battery life as well. they have a newer successor but i just have the regular clam phone now. im about to put my verizon razr on ebay unless you want it. its just the typical slate gray one.

definetaly get rid of that E815 asap, they are engineered like most verizon phones to die after about 8 months, at 11 months my E815 got the dreaded USB of death screen. So get rid of it before you lose your contacts and pics for good. If you have anything wrong with the phone when u take it to verizon they will screw u and either charge you 50 for a replacement (if the phone is in immaculate condition) or just tell you your out of luck, like they did me.

buy a cheap eBay phone from that massive cell phone store, its the biggest on eBay...i dont know what its called its the one that is on t.v. all the time (they dont screw you like most used crap on fleabay). I got a cheap old one from them for 30 bucks and hopefully it will last until my contract is done.

I just picked up Verizon's new LG razor-style phone. Fit its slimy into the pocket, plays music with great quality and make me look like I have more money than I really do.
