QUOTE(elvasoshexai @ Aug 1, 2007 - 7:32 PM) i just had a question.. i just noticed a lot of people with carbon fiber hoods have to use something other than the stock... er.. 'hood prop-up thing' to prop up the hood... why is that? well i guess it depends on were you see the hood propped up. i have a cf hood and i use the original hood prop all the time. at shows, i use anything from my sparco steering wheel, tein spring, a glosser absorber etc... this is for show purposes only. also, there are times that i use the orig. hood prop and prop up the hood from the striker (the hook that clips into the hood latch) when the judges are doing their thing. i'm (and alot of people) are not a big fan of opening their hoods all the way at shows since it breaks up the lines of the car. hope this answers your question |
