I've got one and I love it. When I park my car for the night I pull the steering wheel and take it with me. Also, it's nice to not have the steering wheel in the way when working on the interior.

Hey Coom what make of quick realease hub ya got?I`ve been thinking about geting the NRG,I think they look sexy not to mention the added convience of removing the wheel. Hey Coomer have you seen the really thin (3CM)mounting hub (the first one)they have to go with the release hub.
Would it be possiable for you to show us some pics? We all love your pictures anyways!!! wink.gif

The steering wheel and quick release are both cheap no-name products that I got from eBay. I got a Momo hub, quick release, and that steering wheel for $75 I think.

The steering wheel and quick release both work well though. I can take more pictures next time I get my car if you guys want.

I guess I'll never understand why people get aftermarket steering wheels. I'd rather get into a wreck and live then get into a wreck and die, but at least I had a cool looking steering wheel. The only advantage I see is if you buy a car with deployed airbags, but I think it's incredibly stupid for people that have working airbags.

The hub from ebay, was it a direct fit? I remember reading some posts about people had trouble because something was sticking out. (I think it was some kind of wire for something). IMO, the quick release has its advantage of takin it off so someone cant steal the car. They could steal the stuff on the outside, but at least they dont have the whole car.

I hate airbags, everyone that I know that has them and got into a wreck got hurt by the bags and everyone else who didn't have them never got hurt, just bruises from the seatbelt.

PLus, if you get racing harnesses, you can be locked in pretty good anyways. biggrin.gif

If this is true, then why are automakers required to have them in their vehicles? Studies prove that in MOST accidents airbags are EXTREMELY beneficial.

I know this is an old thread, but what happens to your cruise control when you replace your wheel?
