how wide rims can the gen.6 take????? is 8.5" too wide???? or should i just go 7"????

well mine are 9" wide which is 8j with 225/45/17's fitted, could probably get away with 235's fitted, but the thing to watch is the clearance on the rear suspension spring base as there is less on the rear than on the front ones.
