Hey guys, my Celica has been acting up lately. A month ago I was stopped at a light. When I pressed the gas pedal in, the car started to go and then it was if the gas pedal was not giving fuel because it started to jerk the car and then the car started to go again after some jerking. The car ended up on the side of the road shortly after. It would start up but when I pushed the gas pedal in it started rumbling and stalled. I have seen some mechanics and one said timing belt and one said fuel pump. I replaced both and it will run but every once in awhile it will do the same thing right after I have been stopped. Also when I stop I notice my car rumbles about every 15 secs. Has anybody ever had this issue or know what the problem may be?

Much appreciated,

Have you checked the basic stuff and eliminated them ? Air, Fuel , Spark. every part of those systems. ? On and have you hooked up to a scan tool and see if that is throwing back some codes ?
