Hey guys.
I have a huge update for my celica. I did all the body work including partially stripping the old paint and some body work. I sanded the entire car with 100grit and then fixed two cracks in the spoiler and a bunch of shopping cart dents. Then I took the car to maaco and got their $500 paintjob and paid an extra $500 to finish off stripping the car and to prime the entire car. The paintjob came out awesome and the pearl finish is sooo nice, proving that maaco can do an acceptable job on the car if the correct prep work is done for a reasonable price. The only problems were a little overspray on the windows(which came off easily with a window scraper) and they messed up my tint on the front driver window, but they took $100 off!! (It only costs $20 to retint that window). Now lets just see how long it lasts. I also got some projectors (thanks my2celi) as well as replacing the two passenger side rims which had really bad curb rash. Now I just have to repaint my calipers and wire the accent lights in the projectors and the celica project is complete (at least for now). If anybody has some tips for cleaning the black rubber trim let me know. I don't want to paint it. Also, no matter how much I try to clean my windshield it always looks dirty. Anybody have any tips to clean it? Lastly, I need a new signature, so some help would be appreciated! Enjoy some pics! Before: After: You can see the pearl in the picture.... Let me know what you think! -------------------- |

really really nice !
now get a lip kit ( not a body kit PLZ ) and the OEM fogs for 94-95 bumper, that will complete your exterior. you can get the stuff to polich your windshield and it'll look like new when you're done. the black rubber, I guess there is no way to make it look nice again unless you paint it, there is a how to about that. -------------------- |

QUOTE(cHinaman727 @ Aug 2, 2007 - 5:24 PM) hey your car used to be the same as mine! Also, I looked into gettin maaco and ive read some rough stuff about them, werent you skeptical? Yeah I was really skeptical...but I did my homework. I did a lot of the prepwork myself and I payed them extra to do some more prep. I checked out like 4 or 5 different cars that they recently painted and I checked in on my car to see the progress everyday. -------------------- |
