QUOTE(Redline08 @ Aug 13, 2007 - 3:24 AM) found this on urban dictionary is there a deeper, possibly negative meaning to faff? From that definition i cant tell what faff means or if its good or bad lol My reading is that it is neither good nor bad. People that don't get the car scene generally consider any lengthy time spent on cars as a waste - "it is only a car". I guess that is especially true of some GT-4 owners, the ones that spend lots of time on detailing, preventative maintenance, replacing rusty bolts with shiny ones or really small subtle mods. The alternative argument is that faffing is a hobby. Just like any hobby, there doesn't have to be a point, logic or reasoning to it beyond making the hobbyist happy. -------------------- Davey

If you visit GT4EC.net or some of the GT4 websites, every single one of'em refers their car as "faff"...

The ST205 has become affectionately known as the faff for a few years now as the owners are always adding shiney bits and faffing around under the bonnets of the cars, making themselves "faffers" I belive this was started by jealous ST185 owners
ST205 = Faff, ST 2 O Faff, my personal favourite - Faff = Fast as F**k Four Faffing = Kicking your ass in style ST185 (Alltrac) = 1 great 5, 1 crate 5, 1 overweight 5 ST165 = 1 sick 5 Hope this helps clear things up -------------------- 1994 JDM GT4 WRC

Bad?, no, heavy in comparison, yes. After all the 185 owners started the slanging match
The sick in 1 sick 5 refers to it being unwell rather than bad ass, if Im reading your interpretation coreectly. -------------------- 1994 JDM GT4 WRC
