I had a quick question for all the 3S swappers... I wanted to do a swap too, but was just wondering if you guys have air conditioning in your 3S? B/c i always drive with the AC on, so i was just wondering if the 3s motor has AC b/c i didn't read anything about that before and my friends who did like k20 and sr20 swaps don't have ac.

You have a GT, I believe you can use your stock AC unit and bolt it right up to the 3S. You just need to have the wiring hooked up for it.

Okay cool... so most of you took the ac from the stock motor and bolted right up.

i installed mine a few weeks ago but I had to wire up the compressor to a switch because when the pressure switch would send 12V to the compressor it would make my engine die, but it works now, i just turn it off when im gonna go over 3500 rpm and run the car..

thats cause you dont have the idle up system.
hardwiring it to a switch will burn up your ac comp, because the system needs to cycle on/off ever few sec on its own.

Do you need to replace the AC compressor or can you use the one on the 3s? What would I need to do to get it to work with an ST?

For an ST, you're going to need to use the 3SGTE compressor and then have some custom lines made. If you have the ST lines and at least part of the lines of the 3SGTE, a good tig-weldor can weld them together for you.
