rebuilt 45000 miles. If it was original 45,000 miles it would be selling for 12 grand or so. Maybe more.

Jen, it seems like a good price.

Damn fine MR-2 there, I'd say that that is an extremely good deal. Looks very clean to be 16 years old. biggrin.gif Go for it!

seems a little out of place, its a good price, but 178, 48 on a rebuilt motor, and he's throwing in an extra motor, I would worry he raced it and ware it out pretty hard thus needing the motor, question it, but if its all lagit, good deal.

price seems average/reasonable. Ask him if he has receipts or proof about that rebuild.

Just beware that rebuilds almost never last as long as an OEM motor.

I would question it as well, but then again he might just be trying to get rid of all of his extras with the car.

Go and check it out, drive it around, listen for any strange noises, etc. Find out what known problems the car has, and make an offer.

I would try to cross-reference with the off chance he is on mr2oc.com and read some of his posts about the car.

Very good idea. I think the price is actually a tad high but finding one that has the interior and exterior in that good of condition is not easy. If you buy a car with a 3sgte, be prepared for greater than normal maintenance (than your typical toyota/honda).

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
