As the title states, i want to purchase KYB GR2 the sealed versions for the front and the regular rears. I also want Eibach Sportlines. I dont know of many around town places to purchase these and was thinking about using the internet. I am leary about buying off Ebay because i dont want to get the wrong products or better yet fake ones.

If anyone knows of any legit sites or sellers who are selling KYB GR2's for a 94 GTS like i said Sealed front, and i guess the regular rears, could you please let me know. As well, If anyone knows of any place/website that sells combo deals when u buy all 4 springs and shocks?

As well Eibach at 1.5 all round or the teins at 1.4 front .9 rear, what is your suggestions?

Thanks guys

Thanks for all the input, i have decided to go with struts all around KYBGR2's, as well with Tein S-Techs i did alot of reading/searching and saw alot of people had problems with the Sportlines making an uneven gap. Heard nothing wrong with S-Techs so thats my choice now i just have to find the cheapest place to purchase all of this

If you are going to go with aftermarket springs, your OEM or OEM replacement struts will wear out within 1-2 years on a daily driver. The OEM struts are not made for lower springs. I recommend Koni Yellows - a little more expensive but the right way and better performance too.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Is this true, I dont want to have to replace in 1-2 years my KYB's.... Can people with these setups please let me know if they have experienced this???

Do you guys suggest going with something a bit different then the OEM replacement KYBGR2's, Like stated above, going with the koni yellows or something more performance geared?

Thanks

stock is made for daily, if you lower its wear and tear on your shocks...now if you upgrade to a performance shock it is made for those conditions and should last longer. although i think 50% of the members who are lowered use kyb

the reason people use kyb even tho they are replacement shocks/struts is because they are warranteed for life UP TO 1.5" drop (excluding coilovers)

What kinda warrenty do the KYB's have? do you know?

Nerermind, found it!

KYB America LLC warrants the listed quality-built products for the listed time period and/or mileage to the original retail purchaser against defect and wear-out when used on private passenger cars and light trucks under normal operating conditions. The warranty does not apply to shock absorbers which have been modified, improperly applied or installed, or installed on vehicles used in racing or for commercial applications. The warranty is void if the product is used on excessively lowered (over 1.5") vehicles or in an aftermarket coilover suspension system.

KYB's obligation under this warranty is limited to replacement of the defective shock absorber in accordance with this warranty. Cost of removal and installation are not included.

The quality-built products, time periods and/or mileage covered under this warranty are as follows:
For as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the units were originally installed

All KYB Gas-a-Just® and MonoMax® Performance Shock Absorbers
(including motorhome applications) – Lifetime

All KYB GR-2® Gas Struts, Cartridges and Shocks – Lifetime

AGX® Adjustable Gas Shocks and Struts and MonoMax Performance Shocks – Lifetime

Ever thought about how you would utilize this warranty?

First, you would have to remove your struts.
Second, you would have to send the struts into the manufacturer to be examined.
Third, you will have to put your car on cinder blocks because you will not want to buy a new pair of shocks since you are trying to get a new set under warranty.
Fourth, you will have to wait to determine if they approve them or not. As such, you will need alternative transportation during the interim.

I think I might just buy Koni Yellows up front.

The lifetime warrenty isnt too bad. I have had to get mine warrenties b4..usually just bring it back to the shop you buy them from, and just get them to switch is and deal with KYB. I know the GTA area KYB rep *Greg* and hes a good guy. He said that if a shock is blown and within warrenty period, then it should just be returned to the retailer, the retailer sends it to KYB or just throws them out. I know that too because i used to warrenty KYBs. If you go to a place like Performance improvements, they literaly either send it back to KYB and then KYB says "thanks..heres the $ back for them"...or they were just chucked in the trash.
