ES-TU MENTAL???
how much and when can we start? i knew someone could put a v6 in a celi. so much spare room in that bay. my bro just bought a beater avalon and says he will only put it on the road this winter. i already called dibs on the motor (it as less that 150K on the odo), but the body is shot thanks to the Greater Moncton roads and all the fracking salt they put down around here. BTW going to Monkeytown this weekend for training, might see/hear you on Mountain Road. avec du tel talent tu dois être un Acadien...a plus tard houmard!!! -------------------- |

Like everyone already knows, I'm not all up on cars n stuff, but, I was wondering how that car would go compared to the same/comparable 3gste...... probably a dumb question lol

dabazied: In it's stock form the 3MZFE doesn't have a high tolerance for boost, the V6 of choice for turbo setups are the VZ series. Much heavier but very strong. However, like a lot of motors, there is aftermarket internals for the MZ to make it handle high amounts of boost.
I picked the 3MZ for it's instant response, fat torque curve, high power and still be able to get 30MPG+ out of it. It's the perfect blend of power, economy and OEM reliability. Did I mention it weighs less than a 3SGTE (I tend to sound like a salesman) In a drag race, the 3MZ would destroy a stock 2nd gen 3SGTE w/o a doubt. A stock 3rd gen would probably beat it on the long stretch. The 3MZ kills all at take off, I still haven't found a consistent way of launching w/o losing traction. Lagos: sorry, I didn't get a chance to go dyno it yet. Unfortunately it won't be until march/april until it's is back from hybernation. -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------

It's winter here. The car is parked for the winter so I'll have to provide proof next season.
Lets put it this way, maybe it will beat the stock 3SGTE, maybe it won't. Who knows? I don't feel like doing bench racing. I'll report the outcome of my first encounter with a 2nd gen 3SGTE. Track times, dyno charts, racing and all that hype is not my priority at this point. Which explains the delay to provide numbers. I always find something to improve, I'm never 100% satisfied, which causes me to postpone getting numbers. Like for example: god those headers are restrictive, need to make a custom set. Damn my intake is only 2.5 in diameter and not cold air, it should be 3in and run down in my fender. Those tires don't hook the road, I need new rims and rubber, my suspension is stock and sloppy, my motor mounts slam when I shift, my dome light is not bright enough, my carPC is too slow, need paint, I'm broke /exaggeration -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------
