larger injectors, larger fuel pump, valve job, new cams (cam regrinds) new springs and retainers, etc.

yeah, I believe the 5s needs more airflow, so things like ITBs or just a bigger intake manifold and throttle body would help. along with a port and polished head, oversized valves, and cams. of course also headers and exhaust and a CAI. and a piggyback with a good tune. you might not need the fuel pump and injectors unless you start flowing ALOT more air in. you could probably get away with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a piggyback.

it'd have to be custom. or get the stock ones ported.

maybe just have your head machined down a little (it's gonna need to be done anyway when you take your head off) to raise your compression ratio a little.

if you're just looking for 20hp above stock, a CAI, headers, and exhaust should get you at least 10-15 of that, then just a piggyback like an SAFC II tuned on a dyno should give another 5-10. those things alone would reach your goal. Because you have oversized pistons and you wanted to port match your head, I thought you were going all out with it. 20 hp should be pretty easy to attain though. A stage 1 clutch and lightweight flywheel makes the car more fun to drive too. you could also get some kirkosaurus polyurethane motor mounts.

got tha polymounts....got tha headers got the exhaust...got a stage 3 clutch not puttin a lightweight flywheel but i bought a new 1 that im gettin trimmed .050 supposed to make it rev faster w/o losin trq...i didnt think intake and exhaust gave us that much more power...is that whp or crank? do u know if mayb the v6 camry throttle body would bolt up...just a thought?

I dunno exactly how much each gives, but I assume intake gives 2-3, header gives 5-7 and cat-back exhaust another 5-7 for a total of 12-17. again, that's only my guess. I'm sure you could gain 20 with just header, intake, exhaust, and a piggyback with tune. you could also advance your timing a few degrees, the car feels faster when you do, but I don't know if it'll show any more HP on a dyno

The thing with mustabg throttle bodies is, the TPS has to be modified somehow, I just don't know how.

I've seen someone put a 7mge (or 7mgte?) throttle body on a 5s. it was some guy on celicatech who was going to fabricate some kind of adaptor so we could use them, but he never produced more than just the one on his car as far as I know.

are you kidding me? We don't drive Hondas here.. Intake, headers and exhaust will get you MAYBE 5hp.

that sounds a bit more like i thought it was....if i raise the comp. ratio w/ .040 oversized pistons...how much u think that will get me to the wheels. dont 4get im gonna lighten the flywheel a lil bit....my guess would b 10-15 gain but ive nvr done oversized pistons b4 so idk.

I'm pretty sure the biggest restrictions of the 5s are it's availabilty to breathe. That's probably why a turbo adds so much horsepower.

When my car was NA, I never put a header or exhaust on, so I don't really know how much horsepower they actually give. But, from what I've read, adding headers helps the top end out alot, which is where this engine runs out of steam. so, though it may not increase peak horsepower much, it should help out the powerband.

The 5s also runs pretty rich at full throttle too. So, I'm sure a piggy back to lean out the A/F under WOT would help.
