NC Meet., Im Moving near charlotte Options

well, my friend says he's open to the idea of going to the meet...but he wonders if y'all would let a Porsche hang out (she's very friendly, a little older, and not stuck up at all)


and since nobody's suggested a time for the meet yet (Jaws4God suggested March 8th for the date, and I wholeheartedly agree with that), how's afternoon-ish sound to everyone?

I'm not sure what you would like to do, but the so.Cal 6gc-ers typically stand around and dork out over their cars and take pictures...sometimes we go grab a bite to eat before or after.
at the big-ass (all-gen) Celi meet we had a few months back, we had a potluck lunch before the dorking-out. just a few suggestions to get ya going

well, if it's just you and me, maybe we could meet up in Statesville...it's a little closer to Charlotte than Greensboro, it looks like.

Hey guys, I live in Raleigh, NC and I can help set up something. I would like to suggest having it in Raleigh, since there's a lot more to do there than in Greensboro. In Raleigh, there are a lot of malls to visit, museums, imports shop, nice locations for photoshoots, good restaurants, and a pretty nice nightlife scene. I can set up a daily schedule of things for us to do at the meet so that we can stay on task of everything. We can all meet at a central location, I am suggesting my friend's imports shop called "Phantasm Motorsports". They have a Dyno there and all the imports goodies you could want.

If we do it in Charlotte, I can work something out there also. My friend has a shop in Concord called BRE Motorsports, they have a dyno there too. We can meet up at Concord Mills and hit up some nice locations in Charlotte. Charlotte also have a couple of nice malls (mainly Southpark mall) and restaurants, and definitely some good spots for photoshoots too.

I would suggest against having it in Greensboro though, because Greensboro is kinda boring when it comes to having a meet. They mainly have the Four Seasons mall, UNCG College campus, and a few decent clubs.....but you'll be bored during the day for sure.

Anyways, I'll do some research and put up a positives and negatives list of locations to have this meet. But I would definitely pin it down to having it either in Charlotte or Raleigh. What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, my celica is in Raleigh also, it's undergoing a 3sgte swap......if we meet in Raleigh, at least you guys can get to see it.

Awh man, I was thinking March 8th would be a good day.......but that's during springbreak for a lot of people.....and I'll be up in New York that weekend. What about a Saturday in late March? The weather would be just about perfect around then and everybody will be back to normal schedule, so a weekend meet would be perfect.

and about the date, you guys are free to do it whenever you want. I'm only saying March 8th because it was suggested earlier, and when I read that I was like "HOLYCRAP THAT'S WHEN I'M FLYING INTO NC I CAN TOTALLY MAKE THE MEET LOL AWESOME"
but if late March is better for everyone, then go for it...I just won't go, since I'll be back in California, haha
BUT! don't plan the whole meet around my lame ass or anything...especially since neither my friend nor I will be driving a Celi to the meet

If you want this to happen, repost your alias, first name, and your location. This will help us know where everyone will be coming from and we can decide on a location for sure.

that would be cool but we need to find a place we can hang out.. I know concord mills does not give out permission to do meets. But across the street, Quaker Steak and Lube has hosted many meets. Last weekend they allowed a Supra Meet. So we can either meet there or meet at Concord Mills and cruise to it together.
