1: i believe you just copy and paste them into notepad and save it there. then transfer the file over im not to sure

2: ipod headphones are bad about going out...

3: what kinda radio you have? aftermarket or factory? there are a lot of ways to play them. Personally i like the sound quality when you get an aftermarket head unit with the direct link combo.

no idea on the headphone's then sorry

AUX is ok if your lookn to save about 10 bucks
with the aux imput you are gonna have to look for songs and control everything on your ipod
with a direct connection, you control everything through the headunit and it charges it while its plugged in

i use an aux cord on mine and sound quality is great. i do plan on getting one with the direct connect where you can control it directly from the head unit soon as well as get an older 60 gig. with the newer types they are charging it constantly and that's not good for the battery. so i will get an older one that i will just leave in the car and use my 30gig video for my own personal use.
don't get a fm transmitter type. they are junk and sound quality is crap!!!

I have a aftermarket iPod-ready deck. The Alpine iDA-X001. The quality and ease of use is better then a AUX one. Easy storage too.

The headphones deal, it's your iPod. The audio jack is probably messed up. I have fixed iPods and dissasembled them before. That could probably run about 80 bucks to order the piece.

ok thanks for teh help guyz!!any ideas on the headphones?

couple months ago my either i dropped my ipod or it was fumbled around in my backpack but i had a similar problem where i could only hear the left ear unless i positioned/adjusted my headphone plug and held it in some weird position. the problem was the connection within the jack got bent, so it wasnt touching the headphone plug all the way. luckily i had the warranty still and i just took it to the apple store and told them "yeah all of a sudden my left channel went out" and i got a replacement. good luck though.

I permanently have a 4gb ipod nano connected to my alpine deck...CDs are only made to clutter up the storage space in your car!

uh...you can still take it out of the car. i think he means that he just leaves it in there all the time. not that he built it in to the car.

rayme..i agree with you about the cds.
