I turn the key in the ignition. The engine starts. The rpms go up to 2000 then slides back down to 800. Normally it idles here. But the engine just dies on me. I have to try it two more times and then it catches.

This happened in February twice in that month. I went in for a 60,000 full maintenance service at the end of February. Its been fine since...until now. Its happened only once, yesterday, so I'm not too worried.

But what's the deal?

does that stuff work or is it a bunch of advertising BS? Or is it worth it to take into a shop and bite the bullet and pay for them to be cleaned?

well that stuff in a bottle works you just have to go throw a whole tank of gas before you notice it.. if dirty injectors are your only problem .
